The Musée d'Orsay houses mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1914, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography, and is probably best known for its extensive collection of impressionist masterpieces by popular painters such as Monet and Renoir.
The tour starts with a short walk through the Jardin des Tuileries and across the Seine to the other bank. Guided visit of the Museum provides a general view of the permanent collections from paintings to fine arts. Special attention will be given to the Impressionnists. Monet, Renoir and their disciples didn’t merely reinvent landscapes and urban scenes but also traditional subjects such as portraits and scenes from everyday life. The tour ends at the museum. Entrance ticket included.
